Prof. Dr. Sarah Hernandez is an Associate Professor in the
Civil Engineering Department at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR,
USA. She obtained her PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a
specialization in Transportation Systems Engineering from the University of
California, Irvine, CA, USA. Prof. Hernandez’s research focuses on new and
advanced technology applications in transportation systems engineering and is
centered on developing tools and methods to collect and analyze freight and
commercial vehicle operations' data for long-range freight planning. She also
teaches graduate classes on transportation planning and transportation data
analysis.
Dr. Suman Mitra is an Assistant Professor in the
Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville,
AR, USA. He holds an MS in Transportation Planning from the Bangladesh
University of Engineering and Technology, 2008, and a PhD in Transportation
Science from the University of California, Irvine, 2016. Dr. Suman Mitra’s
research interests include the travel behavior of disadvantaged populations,
sustainable transportation, travel demand modeling, shared mobility services and
autonomous vehicles, land use-transportation interaction, and transportation
and health.
