Associate Professor Melissa Petrakis has over 30 years of expertise in mental health care design, delivery and research. She has been engaged in translational research through concurrent appointments as Associate Professor with Monash University, Department of Social Work, where she is a tertiary education leader, and as a Senior Research Fellow with the Mental Health Service, St Vincent's Hospital (Melbourne), Australia. Melissa's Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused on suicide prevention at the acute-community interface. She is an awarded advocate and scholar with skills in co-design, coproduction, mentoring, system re-design and community inclusion.
