Prof. Jing Xu is a professor at the College of Pharmacy,
Nankai University, Tianjin, China. She graduated with a PhD in Natural
Medicinal Chemistry from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University in 2007. Prof. Jing
Xu was also a visiting scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles
(UCLA), from October 2017 to October 2018. Her research areas focus on natural
medicinal chemistry and the discovery and optimization of bioactive lead
compounds in traditional Chinese medicine and natural products and their mechanism of action.
Prof. Yuanqiang Guo is a professor at the College of
Pharmacy, Nankai University, Tianjin, China. He obtained his PhD from the
College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, in
2004. In November 2017, Prof. Yuanqiang Guo joined the University of
California, Los Angeles (UCLA), as a visiting scholar to conduct research on the
mechanism of metabolic diseases. His research interests encompass active
substances and the efficacy of natural medicines, including the discovery, structure–activity
relationship, biological activity, and mechanism of action; the discovery of
lead molecules from natural medicines; and the research and development of new
drugs.
