Dr. Jennifer Whittington earned an MD (2010) from the East Tennessee State University and a PhD in Clinical and Translational Sciences (2015) from the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital. She served as a Resident in Surgery at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine from 2010 to 2017 and as a Fellow in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from 2017 to 2019. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Association of Women Surgeons, American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, New York Surgical Society, and Society of Surgical Oncology. Her clinical interests include peritoneal surface malignancies, colon and rectal cancer, gastric cancer, soft tissue sarcoma, and minimally invasive and robotic surgery.
