PhD candidate in Cross studies in the Architecture and Urbanism program at the Architecture School of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (2021-2025), and coordinator of European projects at the Centre for Innovation and Technology for Development (itdUPM). He focuses his activity on the orchestration of projects focused on climate change through systemic change, urban experimentation and art, and on research across various publications such as “Schools as levers of change in urban transformation”, “(Un)Likely Connections between (Un)Likely Actors in the Art/NBS Co-Creation Process: Application of KREBS Cycle of Creativity to the Cyborg Garden Project”, and “The Wild City: collaborative practises in urban renaturing”, among several others on sustainable development and urban transformation processes through co-creation. He holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism (UNI, Peru - 2010), a diploma in project management (ESAN University, Peru - 2013), and a Master’s degree in Strategies and Technologies for Development (UCM and UPM, Spain - 2018).
PhD and Teaching Assistant at the School of Forestry Engineering and Natural Resources, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), focusing on organisational management and urban sustainable transitions. Sara holds degrees in Social and Cultural Anthropology (UNED, 2020), Economic Sciences (UCM, 2008), Communication and Public Relations (UCM, 2004), and a Master’s Degree in Technology for Sustainable Development (UPM, 2012). She worked at the Innovation and Technology for Development Centre at UPM for eight years, and in digital marketing companies for six years.
MArch (UPM 2001, UEM 2014). Her research focuses on the revision of architectural design agendas from the perspectives of ecology and climate. As a professor at UPM School of Architecture, she works as an expert for the EU Research Executive Agency, and leads various projects such as LIFE-PACT, or EIT Climate-KIC ACTonNBS. As a co-founder of COMBOlab, her professional practice has been awarded in competitions such as Europan 8 or EU Mies Award (2011)
