Prof. Davide Falabretti is an Associate Professor at the Energy Department of Politecnico di Milano in the Electric Power System group. He completed his PhD studies in Electrical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. His current research includes the assessment of the technical and regulatory impact of dispersed generation and energy storage systems on distribution networks. His teaching disciplines include Power Systems and Electrical Machines and Distribution of Electrical Energy. He has been active in many national and international research and consultancy projects, focusing on the operation of electrical power systems with a high penetration of dispersed generation and energy storage systems, involving system operators, research bodies, national regulatory authorities, and other energy sector stakeholders. His skills and expertise include Networks, Energy Storage, Voltage Regulation, Grid Integration, Distributed Systems, Energy, Smart Grids, Renewable Energy, and Power Systems.
Prof. Giacomo Verticale is an Associate Professor at the
Department of Electronics Information and Bioengineering, Polytechnic
University of Milan, where he also completed his PhD studies in Telecommunications
Engineering. He published extensively on fixed and wireless broadband access technologies and promoting the
smart grid. He is a member of the IEEE. His research interests include the
security issues of the smart grid, network function virtualization, and edge
computing in 5G. His expertise includes cryptography, the Internet,
protocols, smart grids, and computer networks and wireless communications.
Dr. Sadegh Bolouki is a Research Associate at the Department
of Computer and Software Engineering, Polytechnique Montréal. He completed his
PhD studies in Electrical Engineering at the Polytechnique Montréal. He was
Chair of the Membership Development Committee at the IEEE Iran section of Science and
Technology from 2019–2020. With 6 years of experience in applied machine
learning across various domains, his research interests include the areas of
Machine Learning, Network Science, and Games. His skills include Algorithms,
Machine Learning, Data Science, Reinforcement Learning, Natural Language
Processing, Statistics, Optimization, and Control Theory.
