Jure Šarić is currently employed by the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency and brings over 30 years of air traffic expertise to the table. His extensive background encompasses regulatory and corporate management in air traffic and electronic communications systems. Šarić has held several high-ranking positions, such as Director General of Civil Aviation, Assistant Minister, and various departmental head roles within the civil service. His specialized experience extends to corporate governance, auditing, finance, and leading Supervisory Boards in companies of strategic national importance. During his tenure at the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, he developed profound expertise in drafting legislative acts and implementing EU regulations. Šarić has represented Croatia in multiple international air transport organizations, including ICAO, EUROCONTROL, ECAC,
and EASA, as well as professional bodies like ACI Europe and IATA.
In the academic sphere, he holds an M.Sc. in Economic and Transport Sciences, earned in collaboration with the Faculty of Transport Sciences and the Faculty of Economics at the University of Zagreb. As an active researcher and doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Transport Sciences, his scientific interests focus on organizing air transport infrastructure development, enhancing multimodal connectivity between airports and different transport modes, and advancing integrated passenger transport solutions.
Borna Abramović is a full professor and Head of the Chair for Railway Transport Management at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb (Croatia). He earned his M.Eng., M.Sc., and Ph.D. from the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences. He is an active researcher who has participated in numerous scientific projects at both the European Union and Croatian levels, as well as in various studies and reports within Croatia. He is a member of the Croatian Society for Communication, Computing, Electronics, Measurement, and Automation (KOREMA), the International Association of Railway Operations Research (IAROR), the Croatian Chamber of Transport and Traffic Technology Engineers (HKIP), the Croatian Society of Railway Engineers (HDŽI), and the Croatian Academy of Technical Sciences (HATZ). He is proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and specialized software tools such as SAS, VISUM, VISSIM, RailSys, and OpenTRACK. His scientific interests include railway traffic organization, railway infrastructure charges, rail freight transport, railway service markets, integrated passenger transport, traffic forecasting, transport demand, and game theory.
