Dr. Md. Rejaur Rahman is a Professor in the Department of
Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh.
He completed his Ph.D. in Information Engineering of Resources and Environment
at the College of Resources and Environment, Huazhong Agricultural University,
China, in 2009. He also holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Remote
Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the Centre for Space
Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (CSSTEAP), India, an
institution affiliated with the United Nations, in 2005. From 2013 to 2014, Dr.
Rahman served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Postgraduate
Studies, University Sains Malaysia (USM). He was a Fulbright Visiting Research
Fellow at the Ohio State University, USA, during 2024–2025. His research
interests include prediction models; information engineering; remote sensing
and GIS; machine learning; natural disasters and climate change; and spatial
analysis and modeling. Dr. Rahman has published over 45 peer-reviewed research
papers in esteemed international and national journals. Additionally, he has
authored numerous book chapters published by Springer Nature. As an editor, he
has also published an editorial book with Springer Nature. Beyond his research
endeavors, Dr. Rahman actively contributes to the academic community by serving
as a reviewer and editor for various international journals.
Bryan G. Mark is a Professor at the Department of Geography, at Ohio
State University. He received a Master’s degree from Ohio State University and
completed his Ph.D. in Earth Sciences at Syracuse University in 2001. From 2002
to 2004, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max-Planck-Institut für
Biogeochemie. His research interests are glaciers, hydrology, climate change,
the Andes, and Peru.
