Han Zou, PhD, is a Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Head of the Department of Architectural and Planning, School of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment, Hubei University of Technology. She is a member of the Academic Committee of Urban Planning History and Theory of the Urban Planning Society of China, the Academic Committee of the Architectural History Branch of the Architectural Society of China, and the Academic Committee of the Hubei Historical Architecture Research Association. She is also a member of the review panel of the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Social Science Foundation, the National Art Foundation, and the China Scholarship Council. Her main research interests are historical buildings and heritage preservation, as well as urban planning history and theory. She completed a postdoctoral fellow at Southeast University and was a visiting scholar at Toronto Metropolitan University and a researcher at the City University of Hong Kong. She is a reviewer for several journals, such as Heritage Science, Scientific Report, Land, Energies, Sustainability, Urban Science, and JCAU. She has hosted over 10 provincial and national scientific research projects and participated in 10 scientific research projects. She has published more than 80 academic papers, including more than 20 papers indexed by SCI and EI and more than 10 papers indexed by Chinese core databases.
Cong Sun is currently an Assistant Professor and Associate Researcher at Shenzhen University. She completed her Ph.D. and worked as a research assistant at the City University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses on modern Chinese architecture and high-density built environments. She has published papers in many refereed journals, such as Urban Design International and Frontiers of Architectural Research. She has hosted four provincial and municipal scientific research projects and participated in three national scientific research projects. She also worked at Aedas (a global architecture firm) for more than three years.
Ting Wu is a lecturer at the School of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Environment, Hubei University of Technology. She completed her Master’s degree in Architecture at the University of Manitoba. She is currently leading a provincial-level teaching research project focusing on curriculum reform for early-year architectural design courses, aiming to foster foundational design thinking and spatial awareness among undergraduate students. She has published four academic papers in academic journals, addressing the integration of architectural pedagogy and design practice, contributing to discussions on educational reform in architecture. Her teaching disciplines include architectural design, spatial analysis, and design theory, while her research interests encompass design education, curriculum innovation, and undergraduate training in architectural design.
