Dr. Ana Ferrer is a professor of Economics at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada. She obtained her PhD in Economics from Boston University, Boston, MA, USA, in 1999. Dr. Ana Ferrer’s research interests center on labour markets, immigration, education, and family economics. From 2015 to 2022, she also co-founded and served as director of the Canadian Labour Economics Forum (CLEF), a network facilitating research discussions and promoting networking opportunities among researchers in labour economics. Currently, Dr. Ferrer serves as Secretary of the Canadian Economics Association.
Dr. Amelia Clarke is a full professor in the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development (SEED) at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada. She obtained her PhD in Management (Strategy) from McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada. Her main research interests center on implementing UN Sustainable Development Goals #8, #11, #13, and #17. Dr. Amelia Clarke has a long history of working on climate and sustainability action. She approaches her research on sustainable business, sustainable campuses, sustainable communities and climate mitigation through a strategic management lens. Many of her theoretical contributions have been related to strategy implementation, designing cross-sector partnerships, and stakeholder/youth engagement.
