Dr. Jin-Young Kim is a senior researcher at the Renewable Big Data Laboratory of the Korea Energy Research Institute (KIER). He focused on mesoscale modeling and renewable energy resource assessment. With over 10 years of experience in wind resource analysis, environmental modeling, and data-driven approaches for energy system planning, he leads several national Research and Development projects on offshore wind energy and climate-based site suitability. He has also contributed to the development of the Korean Wind Energy Atlas and serves as a national expert in the IEA Wind Task and IEC standardization committee.
