Ann-Marie Öhrvall, PhD, Occupational Therapist is a Lecturer and Researcher at the Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society, Division of Occupational Therapy, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden since 2015. She received her MMedSc and PhD from Karolinska Institutet, in 2005 and 2011, respectively. She has extensive experience and expertise within the rehabilitation services for people with different childhood-onset disabilities such as intellectual disability. Her research focuses on opportunities and obstacles in lives for children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities caused by neurological problems, congenital or early acquired, in order to increase opportunities for participation and self-determination in different areas of life and in society.
Margret Buchholz is a senior occupational therapist and council certified specialist in occupational therapy at DART—Centre for
Augmentative and Alternative Communication and Assistive Technology, Sahlgrenska University Hospital. She is an experienced clinician, specializing in communication support and assistive technology for people with disabilities. She holds a PhD in Medical Science and is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Health and Rehabilitation, Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Göteborg, Sweden. Her research interests cover communication support and communication technology for people with disabilities.
Annika Sköld is an Occupational Therapist and Lecturer/Researcher at the Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and
Society, Division of Occupational Therapy, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. She obtained her BMedSc, MMedSc, and PhD from Karolinska Institutet, in 1998, 2001, and 2010, respectively. Her current research concerns persons with Intellectual Disability (ID) who have support according to LSS in housing and/or work. The main part of the research is based on the cocreation of knowledge together with persons with ID.
