Hailin Zhang received his bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Inner Mongolia Agricultural and Animal Husbandry College in 1996 and his doctorate in agronomy from China Agricultural University in 2001. He is currently a professor, doctoral supervisor, vice dean, and director of the Plant Production Experimental Teaching Center of China Agricultural University. He is also vice chairman of the Farming System Branch of the Chinese Society of Agronomy and editor-in-chief of “Farming System” magazine. His research interests include conservation agriculture and farmland ecology, climate change, and adaptation of agricultural practices. He has presided over two National Natural Science Foundation projects and two National Science and Technology Support Plans, presided over or participated in three agricultural public welfare industry scientific research projects, and participated in a “Thirteenth Five-Year National Major Scientific Research Project”. He has won second prize of the Hunan Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked fourth), third prize of the Hunan Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked second), the China Agriculture Award (ranked fourth), and second prize of the Teaching and Scientific Research Achievement Award. He has published more than 150 papers, including more than 40 SCI/EI papers.
