Dr. Emmanuel Daanoba Sunkari is an Associate Professor of Mining Engineering at Sir Padampat Singhania University, India, with specialized expertise in mining geology and sustainable environmental management. His interdisciplinary work combines technical expertise in mineral exploration, mining engineering, and environmental management with stakeholder engagement, community-centered design, and sustainable development. He was a Lecturer at the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Ghana, and held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Previously, Dr. Sunkari was a Research Fellow of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK). Dr. Sunkari holds a PhD in Geological Engineering (Economic Geology and Geochemistry: CWA = 96.69%) from Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Türkiye. He has extensive consultancy experience with various exploration and mining companies and has secured numerous research grants. He has over 10 years of combined professional and teaching experience and has co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers, books, and conference papers, predominantly in Elsevier and Springer Nature journals. He has also presented numerous scientific works at conferences in these areas. Currently, Dr. Sunkari has received 1550+ Google Scholar citations of his scholarly works with an H-index of 22.
Dr. Abdurrahman Lermi is an Associate Professor at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University in Türkiye, where he serves in the Department of Geological Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering. His academic and research work is primarily centred around ore deposits and geochemistry, making significant contributions to the understanding of mineral resources and environmental geochemistry in the region. He earned his PhD in Geological Engineering from Karadeniz Technical University, where his doctoral research focused on the geological, mineralogical, geochemical, and genetic characteristics of the Midi Zn-Pb deposit in northeastern Türkiye. His academic journey also includes a master’s and bachelor’s degree from the same institution, with a strong emphasis on geochemistry and regional geology. Dr. Lermi’s research interests span a wide range of topics, including ore deposit geology, environmental geochemistry, hydrogeochemistry, and mineral exploration techniques. He has supervised numerous graduate theses on subjects such as the hydrogeochemical evaluation of drinking and irrigation water in Niğde, the environmental impacts of historical mercury mining, and the geochemistry of skarn-type Fe-Zn deposits. In addition to his teaching and supervision roles, Dr. Lermi has published several studies in international journals.
