Prof. Dr. Du Huayun received his doctoral degree from
Taiyuan University of Technology, where he currently serves as a Professor and
Director of the state-owned Asset Management Department. He has previously held
several academic leadership roles, including Secretary of the Party Committee,
Secretary of the Party Committee of the Materials Academy, Vice President of
the Research Institute, Director of the Center for the Transformation of
Results, and Director of the Project Management Center. His research focuses on
the design and performance of high-end metal materials such as stainless steel,
aluminum, magnesium, and copper alloys; surface modification of metal
materials; computational nanomaterials and alloy design; physical behavior and
simulation of welding arc molten pools; as well as hydrogen metallurgy and
technologies for dual-carbon emission reduction.
Prof. Hou Lifeng received her Ph.D. in Engineering and
currently serves as a Professor and Doctoral/Master’s Student Advisor in the
Department of Materials Physics and Chemistry, School of Materials Science and
Engineering at Taiyuan University of Technology. She is actively engaged in
both teaching and research in the field of materials science. Her research focuses on corrosion mechanisms
and the protection of materials, corrosion monitoring, and big data analysis, and
the development of structure-corrosion-resistant integrated metal materials. She also holds various academic positions,
including a Member of the Fourth Academic Committee of Taiyuan University of
Technology, Member of the National Heat Treatment Youth Committee, Member of
the Medical Metals Committee of the China Society for Corrosion and Protection,
Vice President of the Shanxi Society for Corrosion and Protection, and Deputy
Secretary-General of the Shanxi Heat Treatment Association.
