Dr. Dragoş Florin Sburlan is an Associate Professor at
the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Ovidius University of Constanta,
Romania. He received his European Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2006 from the
University of Seville, Spain. He is the author/co-author of several
books/chapters printed by prestigious publishers (Oxford University Press,
Springer-Verlag). He has been in several research/training stages at some
universities from abroad (Spain, Holland, Hungary, USA) and he participated as
a member/director in 20 national and international research or HR projects. He
was involved in organizing internships for students at partner companies.
In 2020, he became the Director of the Ovidius Innovation Center-SAS.
Additionally, he was a mentor for students at several entrepreneurial/scientific
contests. He was involved in organizing several national and international
conferences. He is the managing editor of an ISI-SCIE-indexed journal. Starting
from 2014, He has been the head of the Research Center in Mathematics and
Informatics at the OUC. His fields of interest include formal languages,
natural computing, machine learning and calculability.
