Wenjiao Yao is an associate researcher at the Shenzhen
Institute of Advanced Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. She received her
bachelor’s degree from Nanchang University and her doctorate from the Technical
Institute of Physics and Chemistry, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. She worked as
a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Chemistry, the University of St.
Andrews, UK. She joined the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, the Chinese
Academy of Sciences, in 2018. She is a Shenzhen Excellent Youth, the deputy director
of the Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Carbon Neutral Energy Materials, a Shenzhen
Excellent Youth/High-Level Professional Talent, a Nanshan District Pilot Talent,
and a Newton International Scholar. Her research areas include secondary
battery-positive electrode materials, material genome projects, and green
recycling. She has been approved for 15 national general/youth, key R&D
plan sub-topics, and provincial and municipal projects, with a total amount of
CNY 10 million. As a core member, she has participated in many scientific
research projects, such as the National Natural Science International
Cooperation Project, the Chinese Academy of Sciences PIFI, the Guangdong
Provincial International Cooperation Project, and the UK EPSRC, and has
maintained long-term friendly and cooperative relations with the UK, France,
the United States, and Thailand.
Zhile Yang is a researcher at the Shenzhen Institutes of
Advanced Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his bachelor’s
and master’s degrees from Shanghai University in 2010 and 2013, respectively. He
received his PhD from Queen’s University, Belfast, in 2017. He worked as an
assistant researcher/postdoctoral fellow at the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced
Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, from 2017 to 2019. He also worked as a
postdoctoral visiting scholar at Cardiff University in 2019. He joined the Shenzhen
Institutes of Advanced Technology as a senior engineer (associate researcher)
in 2020 and became an associate researcher (2021-2024) and a researcher in
January 2025. His research areas include intelligent optimization scheduling,
electric vehicles, new energy systems, intelligent manufacturing, and
machine vision. His main research direction is basic research and the industrial
application of industrial scenarios in the interdisciplinary field of +AI. He
has won many awards, including the first prize of the 2022 China Simulation
Society Technology Innovation Award and the second prize of the 2022 CIC
International Intelligent Construction Innovation Award.
