Dr. William H. Walker received his B.S. degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He obtained his postdoctoral training under the direction of Warner C. Greene at Duke University and Joel F. Habener at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard School of Medicine. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Magee-Womens Research Institute at the University of Pittsburgh. His research is focused on the endocrine control of male spermatogenesis and fertility.
Dr. Shuiqiao Yuan received his Ph.D. degree in 2013 from China Medical University. He was an exchange Ph.D. candidate at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) from 2010 to 2013. After finishing his Ph.D. training, he continued to work on reproductive biology as a postdoc in Dr.Wei Yan's lab at UNR from 2013 to 2016. In June of 2016, he moved to China as a full professor and started his lab at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). Broadly, his research field lies in aspects of reproductive biology, with a keen focus on investigating the genetic and epigenetic architecture of male fertility in mice and humans.
Dr. Zhibing Zhang received his master’s degree and doctorate at the Tongji Medical School, Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1990 and 1996, respectively. He is a Professor in the Department of Physiology at Wayne State University. He also holds a joint appointment at the Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology. He has been working in the field of sperm motility and spermatogenesis, particularly spermiogenesis, for almost two decades. His research focuses on the molecular mechanism of ciliogenesis/spermatogenesis, transcriptional regulation of ciliary genes, and novel functions of mammalian central apparatus proteins.
