Abderrahim Ettaqy holds a State Engineering Degree in Water and Forestry (2012) from the National School of Forest Engineers (Morocco) and a Ph.D. in Ecology and Plant Biodiversity (2024) from the Faculty of Science and Technics of Béni Mellal (Morocco). He currently leads the GIS, Cartography, and Inventory Unit at the Regional Directorate of Water and Forests of Béni Mellal, where he oversees forest management and biodiversity conservation projects. His research and professional activities have resulted in more than 20 publications, numerous conference presentations, lectures, and specialized training sessions. Dr. Ettaqy is actively involved in scientific initiatives related to hydrology, biodiversity monitoring, and watershed management, and regularly teaches courses in phytogeography, GIS, and watershed analysis. His expertise spans geospatial analysis, remote sensing, and ecological modeling. He is engaged in professional networks dedicated to environmental sustainability and has received awards recognizing his contributions to academic excellence and environmental research. His research interests include plant ecology, forest ecosystem sustainability, environmental geospatial modeling, remote sensing applications, and conservation strategies.
