Dr. Khwaja G. Hossain is an ND-ACES Researcher, INBRE
Researcher, Professor of Biology, and Division Chair at the Division of Science
& Mathematics, Mayville State University, Mayville, ND, USA. He obtained
his PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, UK, in
1995. Before starting his position at Mayville State University in 2005, he was
a postdoctoral scientist and a senior research scientist in the Department of
Plant Sciences at North Dakota State University. Dr. Hossain’s research centers
on the utilization of crop products for human health and climate management. He
is also interested in plants bioactive compounds and working on compounds
isolated from quinoa and cattail using GC-MS.
