Marco Fidel Flórez Franco is a Senior Researcher recognized by Minciencias, with a strong background in electrical and electronic engineering. His academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, specializing in acoustic noise cancellation, and a specialization in Telecommunications from the same university, focusing on audio signal processing with DSPIC technology. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Engineering at Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga, with a focus on using technology for biodiversity conservation. His career features significant roles in education, currently serving as a professor and researcher at Universidad de Investigación y Desarrollo (UDI) since 2015. His experience includes teaching and research at Unidades Tecnológicas de Santander and industry experience in energy meters and calibration services. His research focuses on adaptive filters for ECG signal processing, among other projects. Eduardo Carrillo received his Ph.D. in Information Technology from the Universidad de Valencia (Spain) in 2004. He has worked as a Professor at Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga since 1997. His research topics mainly include smart cities, smart tourism, and innovation. He is a member of the Colombian Computer Society and the scientific association EATIS.
Francisco Milton Mendes Neto holds a degree in Computer Science from the State University of Ceará (1997), a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Campina Grande (2000), a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in the area of Information Processing from the Federal University of Campina Grande (2005), and a post-doctorate from the Institute of Robotics and ICT, Universitat de València (2014), Spain. He is currently pursuing another post-doctorate at the Institute of Education, University of Minho, Portugal. He worked for eight years as a Systems Analyst at the Federal Data Processing Service (SERPRO), gaining experience in managing large software projects. He is a permanent professor in the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program "Cognition, Technologies and Institutions" (Interdisciplinary) and the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Computer Science. He is a Full Professor in undergraduate Computer Science at the Federal Rural University of Semi-Árido (UFERSA). He held a CNPq Technological Development and Innovative Extension Productivity Scholarship from 03/2012 to 03/2015 and from 03/2021 to 03/2024. He has experience in computer science, with an emphasis on software engineering, working mainly on distance learning, ubiquitous learning, knowledge engineering, knowledge management, and multi-agent systems.
