Hasan Ayaz, PhD, is a Provost Solutions Fellow and Professor at Drexel University, School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems, Philadelphia, a PA with affiliations at the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, AJ Drexel Autism Institute and Solutions Institute of Drexel University, Associate Fellow at the Center for Injury Research and Prevention of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a core member of the Cognitive Neuroengineering and Quantitative Experimental Research Collaborative, and directs the Neuroergonomics and Neuroengineering for Brain Health and Performance Research Lab. He received his BSc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Türkiye, with high honors and MSc. and PhD degrees from Drexel University. His research interests include understanding human brain functioning using mobile neuroimaging in realistic and real-world environments, across the lifespan and from healthy to clinical conditions in collaboration with domain experts and clinical partners. His research aims to design, develop, and utilize (i.e., to measure>elucidate>enable) next-generation brain imaging for neuroergonomic applications over a broad spectrum ranging from aerospace to healthcare. He has organized and chaired international conferences on this topic and co-founded the Field Chief Editor of the new journal Frontiers of Neuroergonomics.
