Dr. María del Pilar Montilla Velásquez is a pediatric endocrinologist based in Ibagué, Colombia, with extensive experience in managing complex endocrine disorders in children and adolescents. She holds a medical degree from the Universidad del Tolima, where she also specialized in epidemiology. Additionally, she completed her specialization in pediatrics at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where she further earned a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology. Dr. Montilla later pursued a specialization in pediatric endocrinology at the Universidad de Antioquia and is currently a doctoral student in clinical medicine at the same institution. Currently, she serves as a pediatric endocrinologist at Clinaltec, an instructor for the Fundación Universitaria Sanitas, where she teaches in the specializations of surgery, anesthesiology, and nuclear medicine, and as an ad honorem professor in the master’s program in immunology at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
