Dr. Yaolin Lin is an associate professor at the School of Environment and Architecture, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, at the School of Civil Architecture and Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology, and is a chief engineer at the Bes-Tech Building Energy Technology company in the United States. He earned a Bachelor's degree in heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning engineering from Hunan University (2000), a Master's degree in heating, gas, ventilation, and air-conditioning engineering from Hunan University (2003), and a Ph.D. in architectural engineering from
Concordia University, Canada (2007). His research topics mainly include building simulation, energy efficiency, design of sustainable buildings, thermal comfort, natural ventilation, cooling and heating sources, energy savings, energy audits, and energy performance.
Dr. Wei Yang is a senior lecturer in construction management at the University of Melbourne. Before joining the University of Melbourne, she was the program coordinator for the Bachelor degree program in building surveying at Victoria University. She has received many awards for her high-impact publications, including the CIBSE Napier Shaw Bronze medal, awarded by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineering, UK. Currently, she serves as the associate editor for Frontiers in Built Environment. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the Australian and New Zealand Architectural Science Association (ANZAScA), and the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate (ISIAQ). Her research expertise and interest focuses are in building energy efficiency, building design optimization, building performance evaluation, life cycle assessment, thermal comfort, urban heat islands, and HVAC system control.
Dr. Melissa Chan is
a Course Chair in Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours) at the College
of Sport, Health and Engineering at Victoria University. She has worked
professionally as a Procurement and Contracts Executive. Dr. Chan previously
obtained professional accreditation with the Australian Institute of Quantity
Surveyors (AIQS) and she has taught courses in construction and project
management. She is currently undertaking teaching responsibilities in
procurement management, cost planning and safety/risk management. Her current
research interests include strategic procurement, sustainable infrastructure,
and construction health and safety.
Dr. Lin Tian is a senior lecturer at the School of Engineering - Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, RMIT University. Dr. Lin Tian earned a B.Eng. in civil engineering from Tianjin
University (1996), an M.S. in engineering mechanics from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (1999), and an M.S. in computer science and software engineering from Auburn University (2000). Dr. Lin Tian received a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from Clarkson University in 2008. Dr. Lin Tian’s research topics mainly include aerosol transport, particle transport and deposition, turbulence modelling, CFD, gas and particle dynamics, thermal and fluid science in bio-engineering, energy, and environmental systems.
