Prof. Dr. Runnan Yu is currently an associate professor at the Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT). She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2014 and a PhD degree in science from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2019. She was selected for the Beijing Science and Technology Association Young Talents Promotion Project and Young Elite Hundred Talents Plan by BUCT. She is hosting the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund, general projects, and central university research projects, and participating as a unit leader in the National Key R&D Program Young Scientists Project and Major Project. In recent years, she has carried out systematic research work around the material design and device preparation of new thin-film photovoltaic devices. As the first/corresponding author, the applicant has published 30 papers such as Nat. Commum., Adv. Mater., Energy Environ. Sci., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Nat. Sci. Rev., CCS Chem., and so on. In total, the applicant has amassed an impressive h-index of 30 with over 70 SCI papers, including 8 ESI highly cited papers, garnering more than 6500 citations.
Prof. Dr. Zhan’ao Tan has been a professor at the Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Soft Matter Science and Engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, since 2018, and he worked at North China Electric Power University from 2009 to 2019. Currently, he leads the Group of Organic Optoelectronic Materials and Devices. He received his Ph. D. in physical chemistry in 2007 from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences and then came to Pennsylvania State University, USA, as a postdoctoral fellow from 2007 to 2009. He was selected by the Beijing Science and Technology New Star Program in 2010 and selected by the New Century Excellent Talent Support Program of the Ministry of Education in 2012. His present
research interests include organic solar cells, colloidal nanocrystals and carbon dot-based optoelectronics, organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells, and flow batteries. He has published more than 250 SCI-indexed papers in international journals such as Nature Photonics, Nature Communications, and Advanced Materials, with over 15000 citations.
