Dr. Gerald Ferretti is a pediatric dentist, Chief of the
Division of Pediatric Dentistry, and Professor and Chair of Pediatric
Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine and
Professor of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Ferretti graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Science
from Assumption College Worcester, Mass. He earned a Doctorate in Dental Science
from the Georgetown University School of Dentistry, Washington, D.C. He served
a residency at Southbury Training School and Hospital for the Handicapped,
Southbury, Conn., and earned his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and his
Master’s of Dental Science from the University of Connecticut Graduate School,
Farmington, Conn., in 1980. In 2004, he received a Master’s of Public Health in
Health Services Management from the College of Public Health, University of
Kentucky, Lexington, Ky. Dr. Ferretti is a Fellow of the American Academy of
Pediatric Dentistry and President-Elect of the Board of Trustees, College of
Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. His research topics include the following: pre-surgical nasal alveolar orthopedics, oral health outreach
models, and pediatric sedation.
