Julia Wollscheid received her B.Sc. in Applied Midwifery Science from DHBW Heidenheim in 2022 and is currently completing her M.Sc. in Midwifery Science and Women’s Health at the University of Tübingen. She works as a clinical midwife in a labor and delivery ward and is a member of the German Society for Addiction Research and Addiction Therapy (DG Sucht). Her research topics mainly include: perinatal substance use, evidence-based midwifery and midwifery-led care models.
Dr.
Annette Binder, MD,
is a physician at the Section of Addiction Medicine and Addiction Research, Department of General Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, University Hospital Tübingen. She is also an early career scientist at the German Center for Mental Health (DZPG), Tübingen site. Her research focuses on qualitative health services research with an emphasis on vulnerable and marginalized populations. One of her key areas of interest is addiction research, particularly substance use during pregnancy. She is committed to the prevention of legal substance use—such as alcohol,
cannabis, and tobacco—during pregnancy, with the overarching aim of protecting both maternal and fetal health.
