SAMI KABIR was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in
1990. He received his B.Sc. degree from the Islamic
University of Technology, Gazipur, Bangladesh,
and his M.Sc. degree from the Luleå University of
Technology, Skellefteå, Sweden, in Computer
Science and Engineering, in 2012 and 2019,
respectively. From 2012 to 2014, he worked as a Software
Engineer at Samsung R&D Institute, Dhaka,
Bangladesh. He was Programmer at the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics, Dhaka, Bangladesh, from 2014 to 2021. He has been
working as Programmer at the Ministry of Finance, Dhaka, Bangladesh, since
August of 2021. Presently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in eXplainable Artificial
Intelligence (XAI) at the Luleå University of Technology, Skellefteå, Sweden.
His research interests include XAI, expert systems, uncertainty handling, big
data, and deep learning.
Mr. Kabir is a member of Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS)
and a recipient of the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship of the European
Commission.
MOHAMMAD SHAHADAT HOSSAIN received both his M.Phil. and Ph.D. in
Computation from the University of Manchester
Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST),
U.K., in 1999 and 2002, respectively.
He is a Professor of Computer Science and
Engineering the Department at the Chittagong
University (CU), Chattogram, Bangladesh.
Concurrently, he holds the position of Visiting
Professor at the Luleå University of Technology, Skellefteå, Sweden. His
current research areas include e-government and the modeling of risks and
uncertainties using evolutionary computing techniques. The investigation of
pragmatic software development tools and methods, for information
systems in general and for expert systems in particular, are also his areas of
research.
Prof. Hossain has been a member of British Computer Society since 2004 and senior member of IEEE since 2020.
KARL ANDERSSON received his M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and
Technology from the Royal Institute of Technology,
Stockholm, Sweden, and his Ph.D. degree in Mobile
Systems from the Luleå University of Technology,
Luleå, Sweden, in 1993 and 2010, respectively.
From 2011 to 2012, he pursued postdoctoral research
at the Internet Real-time Laboratory at Columbia
University, New York, USA, and the National Institute
of Information and Communications Technology, Tokyo, Japan.
From 1994 to 2005, he was a Consultant at Capgemini Group, Stockholm,
Sweden. He is now Chaired Professor of Cyber Security and Dean for
Faculty of Science and Technology at Luleå University of Technology,
Skellefteå, Sweden. His research interests include green and mobile
computing, the Internet of Things, cloud technologies, and information
security. He has been a senior member of IEEE since 2011.
