Prof. Nelson Simoes is a full professor of animal physiology at the University of Azores. He studied at the University of the Azores and INRA (France). He had the opportunity to work in different national and international research laboratories. He is interested in the study of the parasite-host interaction, namely, research on effector molecules and their application in biotechnology, such as the development of biopesticides or immunomodulators.
