Associate Professor Rosie Dawkins is an ophthalmologist practising in the subspecialty of vitro-retinal surgery in Melbourne, Australia. She holds appointments at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, the Royal Children's Hospital, the University of Melbourne and the Centre for Eye Research Australia. She received her medical degree from the University of Western Australia, her Masters Degree from Harvard University, and undertook ophthalmology training in the Victorian network. She has undertaken Fellowships in Dili, Timor-Leste; Cambridge, UK; and Melbourne, Australia. She has broad research interests, with a focus on improving surgical outcomes. An important aspect of her research focuses on endophthalmitis, including prevention, understanding of the underlying biological mechanisms and treatment.
