Thomas Sievers received his graduate engineer degree (Dipl.-Ing.) in electrical engineering from the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg in 1992, and he is now pursuing his PhD in computer science. He worked as a web developer (self-employed) and took part in the advanced study program in AI at the University of Lübeck from 2020 to 2024. In 2022, he moved to the Institute of Information Systems at the University of Lübeck, where he now works as a research assistant. His research topics mainly include human–robot interaction, cognitive robotics, social robots, and developmental robotics.
