Asagwegbe Catherine Obaze-Adeleke received her B.Sc. in Physics from Caleb University, Nigeria, in 2020. She is now pursuing her PhD in Physics at the University of Alabama, with a concentration in precision timing and optical clocks. She is an active graduate student member of Optica, SPIE, IEEE, and APS.
Dr. Bryan Semon is a postdoctoral researcher in
the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Alabama.
He completed his PhD studies in physics with a specialty in AMO and
vibrational spectroscopy at Mississippi State University. His current
areas of research are precision timing with a focus on optical atomic clocks
and laser cooling. He is a member of both Optica and APS.
Dr. Thejesh N. Bandi is an associate
professor at the University of Alabama (UA) and the principal investigator of
the Quantime Lab at UA. With two decades of experiences in high-end
oscillators, atomic clocks, satellite navigation and timescale generation, Dr.
Bandi has designed, developed, and qualified precision atomic clocks for ground
and space navigation missions. Dr. Bandi has a PhD from the University of
Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and was a postdoctoral fellow at NASA’s Jet Propulsion
Lab/Caltech, and Head of the clocks division at the Indian Space Research
Organization (ISRO). Dr. Bandi is a senior IEEE member and an active member of the
Institute of Navigation (ION). He is also life member of the American Physical
Society (APS) and Optica.
