Dr. Pisit Poolprasert holds a Ph.D. in Bioscience with a specialization in Entomology. He currently serves as a lecturer in the Department of Entomology, Faculty of Agriculture, Kasetsart University, Thailand. His academic and research interests focus on comprehensive and integrative approaches to insect science. Dr. Poolprasert is presently conducting an in-depth study titled “Integrated Study of the Population Dynamics, Morphology, Molecular Identification, and Pheromone Chemistry of an Insect Pest, the Durian Seed Borer, in Mountainous Orchards of Laplae, Uttaradit Province.” This multidisciplinary research aims to provide a holistic understanding of the durian seed borer, a significant pest in durian cultivation, combining field ecology, molecular biology, and chemical ecology to support sustainable pest management strategies.
