Dr. Mauricio Casas-Martínez received a Bachelor of Biology at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana—Xochimilco (1994), a Master of Science with a Specialty in Medical Entomology at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (2004), and a PhD in Science in Ecology and Sustainable Development at El Colegio de la Frontera Sur—Unidad Tapachula (2013). He has experience working as a Biologist “A” at the Malaria Research Center (1991 to 2006) and the Regional Center for Public Health Research (2006–2009). Currently, he is a researcher in Medical Sciences "C" at the National Institute of Public Health and Professor of the Master of Science program on vector-borne diseases at the Regional Center for Public Health Research.
