Dr. Haisheng Zhao currently serves as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering at Dalian University of Technology, China. He received his B.Eng. degree in Engineering Mechanics from Tianjin University and his Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has research interests primarily in the areas of safety assessment of offshore structures, fluid–structure interaction analysis of offshore wind turbines, and failure analysis of offshore pipelines.
Wei Shi is a professor of Deepwater Engineering Research
Centre at Dalian University of Technology (DUT). He received PhD from POSTECH
in Korea and worked as an assistant professor at Konkuk University and a
postdoc at NTNU in Norway. His research interests include numerical modeling of
offshore renewable energy systems, wind turbine drivetrain dynamics, and
ice-structure interaction for offshore wind turbines. Meanwhile, he has good
experience in dynamic analysis of mechanical systems.
His main research interests include the dynamics of offshore
wind turbines under complex metocean conditions. He is the PI of many projects
including NSFC, Key projects from MOST, and other national and provincial
projects. He published more than 70 SCI-index papers among of them 50 are
first-author or corresponding authors. He has 28 Chinese patents and 8 US
patents. Meanwhile, he got several first-prize and second prizes from several
different academic societies.
