Prof. Dr. Shaokang Guan is a
professor and a vice president of Zhengzhou University. He graduated from the
Materials Processing Engineering program at Beijing University of Science and
Technology in 1995 with a PhD in Engineering. In addition, he also serves as
the director of the Advanced Magnesium Alloy Key Laboratory in Henan Province,
the director of the Materials Research Center at Zhengzhou University, and a
member of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Materials Majors under the
Ministry of Education, as well as the chairman of the Cardiovascular Materials
Branch of the Chinese Society for Biomaterials; he is a specially invited
reviewer and editorial board member for multiple international academic
journals. He is a recipient of the State Council Government Special Allowance
and has won multiple awards, including the National Teaching Achievement Second
Prize, Henan Province Teaching Achievement Special Prize, and Baosteel
Excellent Teacher Special Prize Nomination Award. He is familiar with material
design, processing principles, and research methods, as well as the research
and development of new materials. His main research directions include
biomedical materials and devices, advanced light alloy design and precision processing
new technologies, material surface modification technology, etc. The team he
formed is an excellent "Henan Province Innovative Research Team"
Prof. Dr. Yu Jia is now a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Physical Engineering of Zhengzhou University. He graduated from Zhengzhou University as a doctoral candidate majoring in condensed matter physics. He has conducted collaborative research at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the United States, the University of Tennessee, the University of Maryland, the City University of Hong Kong, and the University of London in the United Kingdom. In addition, he also serves as the vice chairman of the Teaching Guidance Committee for University Physics Courses in Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education, the chairman of the Physics Teaching Working Committee for Universities in Central and South China, the deputy editor in chief of the Journal of Physics and Engineering, etc. His research interests mainly include the following: 1. research on condensed matter physics theory; 2. first principles, platform construction for multi-scale computational simulation, and material genomics engineering; and 3. teaching basic physics courses and condensed matter physics theory. As the leader, he established the Henan Province University Quantum Functional Materials Technology Innovation Team, the Henan Province Multi-scale Material Calculation and Design Technology Innovation Team, and the Henan Province University Physics Excellent Resource Sharing Course.
