Dr. Yamila P. Cardoso received her BachelorC and MasterSc degrees from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, and her Ph.D. from the National University of La Plata, Argentina, in 2014. She is currently a researcher and lecturer at the National University of La Plata (CONICET) and a Research Collaborator at the La Plata Museum. Prior to this position, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National University of San Martín, Argentina. Her research focuses on the study of biodiversity evolution, biogeography, and phylogenetic issues based on integrative taxonomy tools.

Prof. Dr. Guillermo Orti received his Ph.D. from Stony Brook University in 1995. He is currently the Louis Weintraub Professor of Biology at George Washington University and a Research Collaborator at the Smithsonian Institution. Before the present position, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Georgia from 1995 to 1997 and an Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska from 2003 to 2009. His research has focused on the diversity of biological systems and questions conceptually unified by a phylogenetic perspective.
