Author Biographies

Prof. Elisa Maria Maffioli is an Assistant Professor of Health Management and Policy and Global Public Health at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She received her Master's degree in Economics from Bocconi University and her Ph.D. in Economics from Duke University. Her research primarily focuses on estimating the impact of public health interventions aimed at controlling infectious diseases or improving maternal and child health, mainly in Africa and Southeast Asia, and her research aims to improve individual and population health by addressing socio-economic, behavioral, and political determinants of health.
