Ashley Shepherd is the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Sport, University of Stirling. She takes the lead in contributing to the Faculty's strategic direction and the achievement of its strategic objectives. She leads and oversees processes associated with workload planning and ensuring the effective use of resources. She is also an Honorary Adjunct Professor at the School of Nursing, University of Pennsylvania, USA. She holds a B.A. (Hons) in Nursing from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh and a Ph.D. from Glasgow Caledonian University. Her current research interests include continence issues, in particular the use of urinary catheters and the quality of life of long-term urinary catheters. She is also interested in quality improvement in health care and measuring the impact of nursing care.
Dylan Powell is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in Public Health & Innovation at the University of Stirling within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Sport. Before joining the University, he worked for Deloitte Healthcare and Life Sciences practice and was the Knowledge Sharing lead for the UK Deloitte Clinical Network. His professional background as a clinician (physiotherapist) and researcher has spanned the NHS, academia, professional sport, and industry. His Ph.D. in Computer Science (Northumbria University) explored the use of wearables and digital biomarkers in neurological conditions including sports-related concussions.
