Prof. Fábio Rodrigues Ferreira Seiva is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of the State University of São Paulo (UNESP), Botucatu, Brazil. He holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the same institution and is one of the heads of the Laboratory of Experimental Metabolic Biochemistry (LaBiMEx). His research focuses on in vitro and animal models of metabolic diseases, including obesity and diabetes, as well as experimental studies related to liver cancer. Prof. Seiva's research interests also include hepatic metabolic alterations, particularly for understanding alterations in energy metabolism and how alternative therapies may help to address them.
