Dr. Tinglu Zhang received the B.S. and
M.S. degrees in marine physics from the Ocean University of China, Qingdao,
China, in 1987 and 1992, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in optics remote
sensing from the Institute for Space Sciences, Free University, Berlin,
Germany, in 2003. He is a Professor at the College of Marine Technology,
Faculty of Information Science and Engineering, Ocean University of China. His
research interests include radiative transfer in the ocean, variability of
ocean optical properties, ocean color remote sensing, and applications of
optical methods in marine science and marine environmental monitoring.
