Panagiotis Koutakis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health at the University of West Florida. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Aristotle University and his Master’s degree from the University of Omaha. He then obtained his Ph.D. in Medical Sciences Interdepartmental Area—Surgery from the University of Nebraska at Medical Center. His research interests include oxidative stress, redox biology, hydrogen sulfide, and peripheral artery disease. Furthermore, his research focuses on human clinical and preclinical trials to develop therapeutic treatments for patients with cardiovascular disease.
