Aristi Karagkouni’s educational background includes a Doctorate (PhD) in Sustainable Development and Management of Infrastructure from Democritus University of Thrace (Department of Economics), an MSc in Environmental Management for Business from Cranfield University (UK), and a Diploma (equivalent to 4 years BA and 1-year MSc) in Civil Engineering (Transportation planning). She is currently an adjusted Lecturer in the Department of Economics (DUTh) as well as a Post Doctoral Researcher in the research field of Sustainable Development and Management of Infrastructure. She has participated in 80 publications in scientific missions, journals, international conferences, and workshops, and she has contributed to four research projects.
Dimitrios Dimitriou is a Professor at the
Department of Economics of the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh) in
Greece. His research experience includes contributions to 24 large research
projects, six of which were as a project leader (scientific coordinator). His most recent
research project is the Intelligent Research Infrastructure for Shipping,
Supply Chain, Transport, and Logistics, EN.I.R.I.S.S.T., which is a unique and
innovative national research infrastructure. His research output includes more
than 300 papers, presentations, and lectures at distinguished international
events, peer-reviewed referred journals, scientific books, and international
conferences, congresses, and workshops. Dimitrios Dimitriou has offered
executive management to large transport organizations, and he has extended
experience in executive advisory/consulting positions. In 2018, Dimitrios
Dimitriou was awarded the Professional Achievement Award in Greece by the
British Council for the Study UK Alumni. In 2021, he was awarded for his
outstanding research contribution by the Chamber of Commerce in Thrace/Greece.
Dimitrios Dimitriou is the scientific organizer of the International Conference
“Intermodal Transports: Innovations in Planning, Management, Business
Development & Decision Making”. He is the founder of the network of experts
Vip4Ride.
