He is a researcher at the Micro and Nanotechnology Research Center (MICRONA) at Universidad Veracruzana (UV). Dr. Herrera-May is the head of the micro and nanodevices research group. In addition, he is the Associate Editor of IEEE Access, Discover Nano, and Frontiers in Sensors, the Academic Editor of Shock and Vibration and the Journal of Sensors, and a Guest Editor for Sensors and Applied Sciences. He has served as the reviewer of 150 journals indexed in Journal Citation Reports. He is the author or co-author of more than 180 peer-reviewed journal papers. His research interests include micro- and nanoelectromechanical systems, mechanical design, magnetic field sensors, microgrippers, energy harvesting, mirrors, microphones, resonators, nanogenerators, and finite element methods.
