Dr. Haitham Elbir is an Assistant Professor of Bacteriology at the Camel Research Center, King Faisal University. He received his master’s degree in veterinary science from the University of Khartoum in 2005 and his PhD degree in bacteriology from the University of AIX Marseille in 2012. From May 2015 to April 2016, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Molecular Biology, Umea University, Sweden. In addition, his research interests include molecular diagnosis and epidemiology of bacterial pathogens, in particular in camels.
