Dr. Abdul Karim received his Ph.D. from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He is currently serving as a Research Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence Convergence at the Cerebrovascular Disease Research Center, Hallym University, South Korea. His research interests include Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), Artificial Intelligence (AI), AI in Healthcare and Medical Integration, Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Software Engineering, and Computer Vision. He is particularly focused on leveraging LLMs in healthcare to enhance medical diagnostics, decision-making, and patient care. His work contributes to advancing AI technologies across academic and practical domains, addressing complex real-world challenges.
Professor In cheol Jeong received a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Yonsei University, Republic of Korea, in 2002, 2004, and 2011, respectively. He has taken on diverse roles and responsibilities. He served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow with the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Seoul National University Hospital from 2011 to 2012. From 2012 to 2017, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow and Research Associate in the chronic disease informatics program at the Department of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology, the Hopkins inHealth Initiative, and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. In 2018, he was an assistant research professor at the Hopkins inHealth Initiative and Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He had the role of an assistant professor in the Department of Population Health Science and Policy from 2018 to 2020. Since 2020, he has been an Associate Professor with the Department of Artificial Intelligence Convergence at Hallym University, Republic of Korea. Since 2021, he has been an Adjunct Associate Professor with the Department of Population Science and Policy at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, USA. Since 2024, he has been an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Neurology at Hallym University Republic of Korea. He has authored two books, more than 100 articles, and more than 40 inventions.
