Dr. Chao Niu received a BS, an MS, and a PhD from Shandong
University of Science and Technology in 2008, 2011, and 2015, respectively. He
is an associate professor at the School of Geology and Environment, Xi'an
University of Science and Technology. He teaches undergraduate and graduate
students and has edited a textbook. His research interests include mine water
hazard prevention, hydrogeology, coalfield, and mine geology.
