Prof. Guojun Zhai graduated from the Department of Geodesy of Wuhan University of Surveying and Mapping in June 1998 with a PhD in geodesy. He is a professor and doctoral supervisor at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Wuhan, China. He has served as a member of the Tidal Commission of the International Hydrographic Organization, a Chinese member of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics, an executive director of the Chinese Society of Surveying and Cartography, and a deputy director of the Marine Surveying and Mapping Professional Committee. His research interests mainly focus on seafloor topography, ocean gravity, and satellite altimetry.
Prof. Shaofeng Bian received his Ph.D. degree from Wuhan University, in 1995. He is currently a professor at the School of Electrical Engineering, Naval University of Engineering, Wuhan, China. His current research interests include physical geodesy, precise positioning using GNSS, gravity-aided navigation, and the transformation of map projections. He was awarded an Alexander Von Humboldt Research Fellowship.
