Dr. Gauri Mankekar completed her Otolaryngology residency in India and obtained an advanced Otology/Neurology Fellowship from Our Lady of the Lake, LSU New Orleans. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Wuerzburg, Germany. She is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery, Neurotology at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport, USA. She is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Neurology Society, the American College of Surgeons, and the Cochlear Implant Group of India, among others. Dr. Mankekar also served as the President of the Mumbai Branch of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India from 2005 to 2006. Her principal interest is in caring for children and adults with hearing loss.
