Dr. Uyên Châu Nguyên graduated in 2016 as a Physician-Clinical Researcher at Maastricht University and as a Technical
Physician (clinical technologist) at the University of Twente. In addition to her studies, she conducted research with a computer model of the heart in Lugano (Switzerland) to better understand changes on the ECG and, since then, her passion for Cardiology has progressed. For her graduation research, she fused different imaging techniques to optimize the implantation of cardiac
resynchronization therapy (CRT) in patients with heart failure and to better understand the signals measured directly on the heart. Since July 2016, her graduation research has been converted into PhD research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Frits W. Prinzen, Dr. Kevin Vernooy, and Prof. Dr. Angelo Auricchio.
